Below is how to reach us, and, more usefully, what we can and cannot answer. Being clear about the boundary saves you writing an email we would only have to disappoint.

We do not publish a guaranteed response time, because we are not prepared to state one we cannot always meet. Enquiries are read by a person, in order.
HyreRemodel is not a remodeling contractor. We do not design, build, project-manage or supervise construction, and we cannot dispatch anyone. If work at your property is actively causing damage, such as water coming through a ceiling, a structural concern or a gas smell, contact a local contractor or the relevant emergency service directly rather than writing to us. We are slower than the people you need.
What we can help with
- Working out which project actually solves the problem you have.
- What decides a remodeling budget, and what a proposal has to contain.
- How contracts, deposits, progress payments and change orders work.
- How permitting works, and which department answers which question.
- How to verify a contractor’s licensing and insurance, and where.
- Pointing you at the source behind any figure or claim we publish.
- Correcting anything on the site that is wrong.
- Deleting your data.
What we will decline, and why

| Is this quote fair? | That we cannot judge a price for a house we have not seen, but the worksheet will tell you whether the quote is complete, which is the more answerable question. |
| Which contractor should I use? | That we do not recommend companies, and why. See how we vet. |
| Will you review my contract? | That we are not lawyers and contract law is state law. The contracts page explains the mechanisms; a lawyer in your state advises on yours. |
| Can you design this for me? | That we are not architects or designers and produce no drawings. Design-build vs hiring an architect covers how to choose who does. |
| Do I need a permit for X? | What is usually treated as permitted work, and then send you to your building department, the only source that is current by definition. |
| Will you publish my guest post? | No. We do not publish guest posts or sell links or placements. |
For remodeling contractors
If you run a remodeling company and want to know how professional introductions will work, email us and say so. Matching is still being built, so the honest position is that we are having conversations rather than signing anyone up, and we would rather tell you that than take an application for something that does not exist yet.
What will not change: we publish no rankings and sell no placements, so there is nothing to buy. Anything commercial will be disclosed where it applies, as set out in our editorial policy.

Information on this site is general and may vary by location, building code, zoning, property condition and individual circumstances.
